Holla !
After seeing many have their own blog for them to tell their own ups and downs, i've decided that i should pen down and keep it as memories in my own history book, although sometimes my language will be cacat-ED but shall i try my best!
I grow up in a mixed parentage family, my dad's a malay and my mum's a chinese. Luckily for me, my parents had decided to put me in a chinese school. I speak malay language to my granny, mandarin to my mum and english to my dad. So i'm capable of speaking 4 languages including hokkien, which I've picked up during my primary school years. Back then i was having problem in coping up in communicating with my fellow primary schoolmates, as penang is mostly a hokkien-speaking community so i have decided that i should learn it in order to survive! LOL...... In the hokkien-learning process, i was teased by mates and they made fun of my unprecise pronounciation, but then thanks to them i'm now proud to say that i speaks better hokkien than some chinese ! hehehehee.... that's the fact :P
During my early years, i was considered the black sheep of the family, i did not care much about my future and certainly was stupid enough not to have any aims or goals in life! I was always a happy-go-lucky boy, and at one time i mixed with the wrong company. I was involved in gangsterism but i was caught by the school authorities and they've contacted my mum about it. Nothing scares me at that time! When i say NOTHING, i really mean it. However, after that incident, one evening my mum did not go to work and brought me out for some strawberry sundae in Mc'D, she asked me one simple question, it goes something like this " dear, what are you gonna do when u grow up?"
At that moment, my mum shed her tears and I felt like my whole world came crashing down! Damn! That instant was the first time i cried like a 3-year-old after so long since i've cried when i was a baby !
I did very bad in PMR compared to my cousins and i managed to get only 2 A's! Things changed for the better when i enter form 4, i began to work hard, learn from the A-class students(although sometimes they could be pain-in-the ass when it comes to sharing of knowledge) and take my mum's "question" as my spirit to continue striving.
Finally i've proven to many in SPM that what i'm made of but not just being the playful-wildchild me! I had balanced up my playtime and study time well! I guess looks can be deceiving afterall. Most important of all i have made my family proud, especially my mum and i'm certainly thankful that with her simple "question" have certainly changed my future to be in the right path.
THANKS MUM! YOU ARE THE FLOWER OF MY HEART!
My mum's born in Singapore and my dad's a truly penangite whom never leave penang for long. They've met each other in karate class back in the '80's, at that time my dad was just a beginner when he met my mum(a first dan karate black belt). I guess that's why the whole family is into martial arts :) *kick-A** !
In 1993, god have blessed our family with a cute girl and later on being named Sophia. I still remember she has big doll-eyes. I used to be jealous of her and hate her because my parents are always channelling their love and attention towards her and left me unattended. However, as time passes by, i realize that having her as my sister is a blessing from god! I'm glad that i have a sister like her whom i can share my feelings with regardless of happy or sad moments ! I guess i have inspired her to indulge into arts with my first graffiti that i've made on the door of my room and some of my alienated wordings(triangle shapes which is closely assembled with each other).
At 12 years old, she made me a birthday par good luck card when i was in form5 by her own! That amazed and it certainly touched me, how thoughtful she is :)
I'm staying with my granny aka Tok MaMa, and she's now my '70's Cadillac whom have taken care of me since the day i was born! She's the one whom always prepares lunch packs and breakfast for me from kindergarten to my high school years. To me i think she's the best chef in the world! Even my mum's cooking can't beat hers, of course not all! :) Her curry chicken and "cabai tomis ikan" are my favourite dish! She cooks it whevener i'm around and surprisingly i never get bored over those two special dishes!
